‘Orden og Kaos’ is the first project of Danish audio-visual duo Filipsen // Bolt. An auditive and visual journey through the experience of what conditions order and chaos and how the change in these conditions can alter our experience of the two.

The piece was first premiered in in Copenhagen in early spring 2023.

The auditive section of the piece is a mixture of composed and improvised parts for 5 synthesizers played by musician and composer Anders Filipsen whilst the visual section is a film by visual artist Ditte Bolt manipulating live-footage and symmetrical forms. The two parts is live united in an interplay between the two.

In fall 2023 the two will perform in DK in an interactive setting where field-recordings and video-parts by the audience is integrated into the piece. Every performance will therefor be different and site-specific in its core.

About Fiilipsen // Bolt

Musician Anders Filipsen works in the cross-section between improvisation and composition as well as acoustic and electronically/manipulated sound. His expression draws equally inspiration from modern classical music as well as avantgarde jazz, improv and electronic music. He is a member of the internationally recognized artist-collective ILK and he has created numerous installationconcerts where sound and a.o. dance, food, light, video and poetry interacts. He has a.o. worked and played with John Tchicai, Kresten Osgood, Nastio Mosquito, Jakob Kullberg, Daniel Bjarnasson, Stefan Pasborg, Kasper Tranberg and groups such as Travelling Tribes, The Black Nothing, The Firebirds as well as chamber-ensembles. He has with his own groups appeared on Roskilde Festival as well as solo-performances at National Gallery of Denmark and toured all over Europe.

Visual artist Ditte Bolt has, among other things, exhibited at the Copenhagen Photo Festival, Gallery Stalke, the Copenhagen Spring Exhibition and created installations for and at the Roskilde Festival. She has also been a strong driving force within the underground environment in terms of creating exhibitions at alternative locations. Her expression is characterized by a focus on moods from past dramas and incidents, and in capturing this she uses, among other things, media such as photography, video, performance, painting and installations in her work.
